The Talkeetna Library has offered various summer reading programs to not only attract youth to the library, but develop a life long love for reading and literature. There is a real need to keep kids reading skills tuned up throughout the summer. Starting Wednesday, the focus is for kids going into the third grade. Retired schoolteacher, Nancy Lemon has gathered books and activities into a literary summer camp.
KTNA’s Katie Writer spoke with librarian Geri Denkewalter about a Literary Camp for kids going into the 3rd Grade.
