The remains of a Kentucky man reported missing late last month have been found.
According to Alaska State Troopers, a boater discovered a partially submerged body in the Susitna River about one mile upstream from Deshka last Tuesday afternoon. The State Medical Examiner’s office has determined that the remains are those of William “Bill” Hartlage of Louisville, Kentucky.
Hartlage was originally overdue from a fly-fishing trip on June 27th. Boats, aircraft, and ground crews searched the area, but found no sign of the missing angler. Bill Hartlage was seventy-six years old at the time of his death.
