Su Valley takes 2nd and 3rd place at 2020 Crowley Classic

Su Valley High School’s gymnasium was packed with spectators on Saturday, as high school basketball teams faced off in the final games of the Crowley Classic.

Su Valley girls trounced Tri-Valley 37 to 6 to take third place in the tourney.

Hooper Bay and Nenana girls ended regulation play at 38-38, but Hooper Bay prevailed in overtime, with a score of 46-45, taking first place.  Nenana went home with number two honors.

Su Valley boys lost to Noatak 54-59 in a fast paced exciting game, taking second place in the tournament.

India Roderick, Kenna Grenier and Myka Wilson were named to the Girls All-Tourney team and Emma Kehoe was awarded the Heart and Hustle Award.

Cy Jolly, Dalton Pinard, Daniel Kehoe, and Simeon Waite were named to the Boys All-Tourney team and Cy Jolly was awarded the Heart and Hustle Award.

Su-Valley Basketball teams will travel to Tok to play next weekend.
