The remains of a Northern Susitna Valley man who was declared missing near the end of last month have been found.

Alaska State Troopers began the search for 61-year-old Terrance Baroody on June 27th after he was declared missing from a residence near Mile 104 of the Parks Highway.  Troopers, including K9 units searched the woods in the area, but found no sign of Baroody.

On July 1st, search and rescue personnel found remains near Susitna River Road later confirmed to be those of Baroody.  Troopers say foul play is not suspected.  According to an obituary published by Valley Funeral Home, Baroody was a Navy veteran who lived seasonally in Alaska and Florida.
