StarDate Susitna 9-20-20, by Kathleen Fleming

The Equinox is this week, and Kathleen has a few things to say about the twice annual balance point, as well the Moon’s visit with Jupiter and Saturn.

Kathleen took this picture of the 2017 March Equinox sunset from the east end door of Talhenge (aka Talkeetna Elementary School). The same alignment happens each September Equinox, but the remaining leaves on trees and bushes block a clear view of the setting sun.

The Equinox sunrise at Stonehenge has observers from near and far, but is not as popular as the Summer Solstice sunrise event.   Photo from stonehengetours.com.
