Despite frigid temperatures in an outdoor vote, the Talkeetna Community Council, Inc. board of directors saw an impressive number of ballots cast.  In total, more than 250 votes were cast before and during Election Day.  There were five candidates for four open seats.  According to results from Tuesday night, Kathy Trump, Doug Smith, Jonathan Korta, and Jodi Rodwell have been elected to the board.  Patrick McGarry, the fifth candidate on the ballot, did not receive enough votes to gain a seat.

Three board members, Kristy Kingery, Cortni Ruth, and Lora Nelson, were not up for election this year and remain on the Talkeetna Community Council board.
