Su Valley High School moves into Medium Risk category

The number of positive cases of Covid-19 in the Mat-Su Borough School District, for the past 14 days, has increased one-third this week to 92 total.  Three of those cases are at Su Valley High School, which has been categorized as Medium Risk for community transmission.  On Monday afternoon Principal Lisa Shelby sent parents an email saying that some middle and high school students would be participating in At-Home learning while Mat-Su Public Health completed contact tracing.

Willow, Trapper Creek, and Talkeetna Elementary Schools remain in the Low Risk Operational Zone Level.

As of Saturday, more than 40% of Alaskan adults had received at least one vaccination dose.  As of Wednesday in the Mat-Su, 18.8% had received at least one dose and 13% were fully vaccinated.
