StarDate Susitna – September 26, 2021, by Kathleen Fleming

The skies are once again dark at night, and Kathleen brings us a new Star Date Susitna. Hear about viewing Jupiter and its moons. To view Sky & Telescope’s interactive tool for observing Jupiter’s moons to to https://skyandtelescope.org/wp-content/plugins/observing-tools/jupiter_moons/jupiter.html

This is a scene that is possible through a significant “back yard” (amateur) telescope.
Binoculars will reveal the moons, but the view will, of course, be much smaller/tighter.
Also, Jupiter will be almost overwhelmingly bright, but don’t give up!
