Su Valley Returns to State Volleyball Tournament

The Su Valley Rams are returning to the state volleyball tournament.  The Rams had a very strong regular season with 25 wins, 9 losses, and a draw.  In conference play, Su Valley won seven matches and lost one.

In the conference tournament two weeks ago, the Rams only dropped two sets on their way to winning the championship.  This is the second straight state tournament for Su Valley, who last contended for the title in 2019.  Last year’s state tournament was canceled due to COVID-19.

The state tournament begins Thursday, when the Su Valley Rams take on Chief Ivan Blanka in the first round.  That match begins/began at 10:00 am.  The tournament is being held at Dimond High School in Anchorage, and an online webcast is available through the NFHS Network.
