The Trapper Creek Bridge on Bradley Road will be replaced in the near future. The Mat-Su Assembly voted to approve funding for the work at their January 17th meeting.
According to the Alaska Department of Transportation, the Bradley Road Bridge has a sufficiency rating of 6.7 out of 100. Any rating less than 50 indicates a need for replacement to maintain safety for vehicles and pedestrians.
The bridge is located a little more than a mile south on Bradley Road, from its junction with Susitna River Road. Though the bridge does not see extensive traffic, it is critical infrastructure for the few landowners at the south end of the road.
The funding will be supplied from the Road Service Area Capital Projects funds.
