Local Veterans Honored at Trapper Creek Park

Tuesday, November 11 marks Veterans Day with a lot of local veterans to thank and celebrate. And local veterans continue to be added to the memorial wall at the Trapper Creek Park. The Trapper Creek Community Services Association maintains the park grounds, including the cemetery and wall. While most ceremonies occur on Memorial Day, veterans are honored every day at the park.

More than 60 veterans who called Trapper Creek home are honored on the wall, representing every branch of military service. The veterans served in World War II, the Korean War, Vietnam, and the Gulf War.

The wall was built in 2020 and dedicated in 2021. It stands at the end of the cemetery, where some of the veterans are interred.

While there are no formal plans for a Veterans Day ceremony, the park, cemetery, and memorial wall are open to the public every day from 8am to 10pm.
