Tazlina Mannix and 9 other Alaska skiers are headed to France and Norway for an international race series.
Mannix was named to the U23 Championship Team, along with Max Trienen of Anchorage. Mannix is one of 6 women representing the U.S. in the U-23 Championships. Trienen is one of 5 men chosen. Four nineteen year olds from Alaska were selected to represent the U.S. in the World Junior Championships and join 6 others from the lower 48. They head to the World Juniors and Under 23 Championships, held in France from January 29 through Februrary 6.
Another team is headed to Europe to compete in the Scandinavian Cup races. Those races are held in Estonia and Sweden from February 5–15. Mannix took ninth place in last years U-23 Championship pursuit race in Europe.
