The Denali State Park SPUD planning team met Wednesday night in what was scheduled to be one of the final meetings before completion of the special use district document.
Eileen Probasco said that meetings had put on hold for almost 9 months as the Borough officials looked at revising Title 17, the planning and zoning document used throughout the borough.
Wednesday night’s meeting was a review of questions from the previous meeting held in April 2008.
At the start of the meeting, Probasco predicted the documents revisions were close to being complete. However, after the meeting, she said that planning meetings would likely continue for a few more months. Several new issues were raised and a few discussions, such as setbacks and buffers, were renewed.
Electrical lines, lighting, building size, and commercial versus residential uses were discussed.
No final decisions were made at the meeting. The discussion on towers and other issues will continue at the next meeting scheduled for the end of February.
Probasco says she hopes to finalize the SPUD this summer.
