The Mat Su Borough Assembly went into executive session Tuesday evening near the end of their regular Assembly meeting.
They discussed the Su Valley High School Insurance claim and potential litigation regarding the fire of 2007. After returning to the regular meeting, they agreed to direct Borough Manager John Duffy to move forward on an insurance settlement for Su Valley High.
The Assembly said the details of the deal with the insurance company met their satisfaction. The settlement amount cannot be announced until the deal is finalized and all settlement papers are signed.
The insurance claim on the fire has taken almost 2 years to settle.
