Susitna Valley has a 3.8 quake

The Alaska Earthquake Information Center located a minor earthquake Thursday (this ) morning at 6:41.  The quake had a preliminary magnitude of 3 point 8 and was located at a depth of about 40 miles.  It was centered 10 miles northeast of Skwentna, 33 miles southwest of Talkeetna and 37 miles northwest of Willow.

 The quake was felt as far away as Eagle River and Big Lake.  It was felt in Talkeetna and Skwentna.  A few Talkeetna residents reported hearing the quake rather than feeling it.
