At its regular meeting on Thursday, the Susitna Community Council accepted four candidates running for regular council seats in the election this fall. Also, three area residents threw their hat in the ring for two alternate seats.
Seeking re-election is current council president Robert Coleman. The new candidates for the two-year term council seats are Phenie Miller, Wade Bartel and Bronn Salmon.Running for the one-year term alternate seats for are Scott Holcomb, Eric Runstrom and Davis Miller. Current council members Robert Ambrose, Sue Drover and Mandy Hartley are not seeking re-election.
Council vice-president Tami Hamler said that the candidates have the opportunity to speak at the next regular Susitna Community Council meeting on October 1
