The Talkeetna Community Council has agreed to write a letter to the Department of Environmental Conservation in opposition to the Alaska Railroad’s permit application for herbicide spraying from Gold Creek to Broad pass.
The Council covered a number of official business, including updating the signators on the Council’s checking account, renewing the Post Office Box, and gave Renmarie Raucenstein their blessing to plant flowers in the Talkeetna Downtown Park again this summer.
The Green light Circus has applied for a Grant from the Mat Su Health Foundation to help cover the costs of summer camp, and the Talkeetna Community Council agreed to write a letter in support of the grant application.
