
Princess Cruises and Holland America have effectively canceled their 2020 Alaska sailings that normally bring hundreds of thousands of visitors to the Northern Susitna Valley.
On Tuesday, both Princess and Holland America issued releases detailing their next steps in what was already to be a reduced season. Both lines have canceled sailings to all destinations through June 30th.
Specifically for Alaska, Holland America has canceled all sailings for five of its ships and all “Land and Sea” packages.
Princess Cruises has similarly canceled all sailings through June 30th. In addition, all Alaska sailings on four of its lines will not happen. Tuesday’s release states that train and bus tours in Alaska are additionally canceled, and all five of its wilderness lodges will remain closed for the 2020 summer season.
Celebrity Cruises had already canceled sailings through May 11th. Last Friday, the cruise line stated on its website that further considerations were underway.
