Oregon Man Killed in Denali Highway Crash

An Oregon man was killed in a snowmachine crash on the Denali Highway Friday afternoon, according to Alaska State Troopers.

Troopers say 70-year-old Glenn Cantor of Bend, Oregon was riding with a group of snowmachiners on the highway when his machine was struck from behind. Both machines were forced off the trail by the collision, with Cantor’s landing on top of him.

Other members of the group attempted to save Cantor’s life, but were unsuccessful. Troopers say Cantor’s next of kin has been notified, and his remains have been sent to the State Medical Examiner.
