In this episode of Su Valley Voice host Trisha Costello is in conversation with two Talkeetna residents, both with downtown Talkeetna ventures. First is Lori Outland, owner of The Patchwork Moose, a quilt and fabric shop across the street from the post office. In 2023 the Patchwork Moose moved its operations one door down from a very tiny little cabin to a much larger space, filled it with bolts and bolts of fabrics and has now outfitted its basement classroom space with 8 Bernina sewing machines. They chat about Fall/Winter class offerings as well as what it’s been like to grow a business – a passion for quilting – in Talkeetna.
In the second half of the show Autumn Merritt talks about her new role as Talkeetna Historical Society Museum Manager. As most of you with a fuel bill to pay in town will remember Autumn’s cheery, happy, helpful voice of the Crowley office for years. She also is a volunteer evening newsreader on Tuesday evenings, right here on KTNA.
