One driver was injured in an accident Tuesday evening on the Talkeetna Spur Road. According to the Alaska State Troopers, a vehicle driven by Jordan Check, 21, rear-ended a vehicle being driven by Kathleen Kaso, 60. Both drivers are from Talkeetna. Fire and EMS personnel removed Kaso from her vehicle, and she was transported by ambulance to Mat-Su Regional Hospital. Ken Farina, Chief of the Talkeetna Volunteer Fire Department, says that her injuries are not believed to be life-threatening. Check and a passenger in her vehicle were uninjured. Check was issued a ticket for failing to avoid the rear-end collision.
