In a press release sent Tuesday afternoon, the railroad announced that repairs to damaged sections are in place, and that trains successfully traveled the tracks from Anchorage to Fairbanks Monday night.

The first passenger train scheduled to run after the resumption of operations is Thursday’s Hurricane Train.
