Alleged stabber released on bail
A man accused of stabbing and injuring a Talkeetna man in early September has been released on bail.
A man accused of stabbing and injuring a Talkeetna man in early September has been released on bail.According to court records, Joey Alan Girves was released from jail to a third-party custodian after posting 27,500 dollars bail. According to the district attorney’s office the court also stipulated that Girves is not to come to Talkeetna.
Girves was arrested and charged with several counts of assault after a late-night fight near the Fairview Inn on September 7. During the fight, Girves allegedly stabbed a Talkeetna man three times with a knife.
Girves’ trial is tentatively scheduled for November 12 in Palmer court. The case is still under investigation.
