Alaska State Troopers responded to a request for a welfare check at a residence on Susitna River Road in Trapper Creek on Sunday, February 1st.

An initial State Trooper Dispatch report says Crystal Calice, aged 43, assaulted a friend with a knife. Alaska Department of Public Safety Information Officer Tim DeSpain clarified that Calice allegedly caused fear of assault with a cutting weapon. He says Calice and the person she allegedly assaulted live in the same household and that there were no reported injuries. 

Calice was also found in possession of a controlled substance. She is charged with assault in the third degree and misconduct involving controlled substances in the fifth degree. DeSpain says the controlled substance is suspected to be methamphetamine.

Calice is being held without bail.
