Borough Assembly chooses manager

The Mat Su Borough Assembly has selected a new Borough Manager.  John Moosey the County Administrator for Chisago County in Minnnesota has been selected.

The Assembly chose to go with a search firm to find a new manager after their original selection stayed in his home state after being offered the job.

The Assembly narrowed the search to seven candidates at the beginning of February and held personal interviews this past weekend.

Colin Baenziger and Associates was the executive search firm that worked with the Assembly.

Chisago County is north of Minneapolis and located along the Minnesota-Wisconsin border in the St. Croix River Valley

Borough manager John Duffy resigned last year and left his post in May.  The position has been open since that time as the Assembly has struggled to find a suitable person to fill the post.
