Bond issues are on the agenda of the next Borough Assembly meeting Tuesday evening.
The Assembly will be voting on a proposed road bond referendum that will go in front of voters on October 4th, if approved Tuesday night. The proposed 32 million dollar road bond includes mostly lower valley roads, although Bendapole Road in Caswell would see upgrades if the measure passes.
The other issue is a proposed 75 million dollar bond for design and construction and improvement of schools. Knik Goose Bay Middle and High School would be developed under this resolution as well as 10 million dollars that would go toward borough-wide renovation projects
Both issues, if approved by the Assembly, would go on the October ballot for Mat Su Borough voters for approval.
The Assembly is also set to vote on a 5 acre parcel in the Caswell Lakes area that would be reserved for a future emergency services Fire station
The Assembly will be going into executive session at the end of the meeting to consider the litigation with the Cook Inlet Dipnetters Association.
The Assembly meets the first and third Tuesdays of each month in Palmer at 6 pm. Public testimony starts at 7 pm.
