The Mat-Su Borough Assembly has two meetings scheduled this week, its regular monthly meeting on Tuesday, and a budget deliberation session on Thursday.
At its budget meeting last week, the assembly approved two substantive amendments to the borough budget. The first adds funding for a part-time position to help with administration of Port MacKenzie. The second approves funding for expansion of the trailhead at Pioneer Peak.
At the end of last week’s meeting, multiple assembly members indicated that they would be bringing additional amendments for consideration at Thursday’s meeting. It is possible that the budget is adopted this Thursday. If a final decision is not reached on budget items this week, one additional budget meeting is scheduled for May 14th.
Video of Borough Assembly meetings is live streamed on the Matanuska-Susitna Borough YouTube channel. An audio stream is available through Big Cabbage Radio.
