Matanuska-Susitna Borough public affairs director Patty Sullivan and media design specialist Stefan Hinman were recognized at an award ceremony last week as among the best of public relations professionals in Alaska.The Alaska Chapter of Public Relations Society of America handed out two awards to them for producing public relations materials for the Mat-Su borough.
The borough earned a second place Aurora Award for the production of videos, audio, podcasts, photographs and press releases during the christening of the ferry M/V Susitna last June.
They also earned a third place award for the video highlighting the Port MacKenzie Rail Extension in an effort to secure $35 million in state funding for the project.
