On Friday, the Alaska Interagency Coordination Center reports that five new fires started since Thursday across the state. Three of them were human caused. The Toklat fire and the Jeannes fire have joined and now cover more than one-hundred-thirty-thousand acres. 667 fire fighters are still fighting the Eagle Trail fire near Tok and the Gilles Creek fire near Delta has 465 personnel dispatched to fight the flames.
The human-caused fire near Eklutna is staffed with 117 personnel and work is progressing slowly. The fire is 20 percent contained.
