    The Willow Winter Carnival is looking for musicians or dance groups to perform on stage during the four day Carnival. The Carnival is filled with outdoor and indoor events with vendors and food at the Willow Community Center. Performances are scheduled for approximately an hour.     The devastation of Typhoon Halong hitting Western Alaska last weekend has created a need for warm clothing for children, babies, men and women, all sizes, socks, shoes and boots. Towels and blankets. Non perishable food items, personal hygiene items, and maybe some things for the children as well.  Totes and boxes are also needed. Volunteers are needed for the Reading Mentors programs on Tuesdays at 3:15 to 4:30pm, chefs for the soon-to-start Stone Soup adult cooking group, as well as volunteers to work in the library.   • Oosik Trailmeister needed – Denali Nordic Ski Club

    The Denali Nordic Ski Club is hosting the Oosik Classic on Saturday, March 14, 2026. An Oosik Trailmeister is needed to work with Oosik Committee and the Head Trail Groomer to Assemble and supervise a volunteer trail crew to layout the race courses for a 25K and a 50K, design maps, place signage, design and construct the Start/Finish areas, clean up after the race, participate in post-RACE debriefing, and keep track of ongoing expenses. The option of a part-time or assistant Trailmeister to work with past Trailmeister is a possibility for the right candidate.
