Crews Begin Arriving to Work on Petersville Road Repairs

According to the Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities, road crews began arriving on Thursday night to begin work on Petersville Road.

Heavy rainfall over the last week washed the road out in ten places leaving thirty people stranded. 

Justin Shelby, Administrative Operations Manager for DOT, says work is expected to begin Sunday, but that weather is a potential factor. Equipment will be in the roadway beyond the Cache Creek area and Shelby says anyone traveling the corridor should use caution.
