ADF &G’s Division of Sport fish has announced that the Deshka River king salmon sport fishery will close at 6 pm on Saturday, June 13th through the remainder of the king salmon sportfish season.
The area affected by the closure includes the Deshka from its mouth upstream to near Chijuk Creek and all waters of the Su River within a 1/2 mile radius of the Deshka River confluence.
In addition to the sportfish closure, the Northern District commercial king salmon fishery will be closed for the final two regularly scheduled Monday commercial fishing periods.
