Deshka River bait restriction lifted
Sport fishers will be allowed to use bait again on the lower portion of the Deshka River beginning tomorrow morning at 6 a.m.
Sport fishers will be allowed to use bait again on the lower portion of the Deshka River beginning tomorrow morning at 6 a.m.
This order rescinds the bait restriction from 2 weeks ago. The area where bait will be allowed in the Deshka is from its mouth upstream, to the ADF&G marker near Chijuk Creek, and all of the waters of the Su River within a half-mile of the Deshka confluence.
The Department of Fish and Game is projecting the escapement goal will be met if the king run continues as it has the past week.
