Drunk driver hits espresso stand

A Trapper Creek woman was arrested Tuesday for leaving an accident scene without reporting it, drunk driving and driving with a revoked license. Kerry Lee Cook, age 42, reportedly struck the Alaska Dream Espresso stand at Willow Fishhook Road and left the scene. Troopers were notified of the incident and caught Cook at mile 49 of the Parks Highway.
Troopers reported that Cook was intoxicated and had a revoked operator’s license as well. Cook was arrested and transported to the Mat-Su Pretrial facility where she is held on $5000 bail. The damage to the espresso stand is estimated to be $500. According to court documents, Cook was arraigned Wednesday at 1 p.m.
