Early voting in the Mat-Su Borough began October 21st and runs through November 4th.
Two Upper Valley locations are available for early voting or to turn in absentee ballots. Residents may vote for State and Federal candidates at any location in the State. But voting for specific local candidates, like the District 7 Assembly seat, may not be available outside of those Borough districts. Upper Valley residents may vote at the Trapper Creek or Talkeetna Libraries during regular business hours.
Residents may also turn in their absentee ballot for free without the two stamps, which are required if it is mailed. If voters only received part of the ballot, such as only the State and Federal portions, they can vote for the Borough elections at the libraries in person.
Early voting will run through November 4th. The Talkeetna Public Library is open Monday through Saturday, 11am to 6pm. The Trapper Creek Public Library is open Monday and Wednesday 11am to 6pm, Thursday 10am to 3pm, and Saturday noon to 6pm.
