A 16 year old boy from England has become the youngest person to climb all the world’s seven summits.
George Atkinson began his Seven Summit challenge at age 11 with Kilimanjaro in Africa.
He finished last week with a successful summit of Mount Everest just 3 days before his 17th birthday. He successfully climbed Denali last year.
He broke 17-year old Johnny Collison’s record. Collison, from the U.S., completed his climbs last year, after he turned 17. However, Collison performed his feat in a little over one year, whereas, it took Atkinson almost 6 years.
