Escapee from correctional farm caught in Willow
A man who escaped from the Point Mackenzie Correctional Farm has been re-captured in Willow. According to the Alaska State Troopers, 59-year-old Brian Church walked out of the minimum-security facility
A man who escaped from the Point Mackenzie Correctional Farm has been re-captured in Willow.
According to the Alaska State Troopers, 59-year-old Brian Church walked out of the minimum-security facility in the middle of the night on April 11th. On April 22nd, Church reportedly broke into a cabin near Flat Lake in Big Lake.
On Monday afternoon, Troopers received a tip that a cabin that was supposed to be unoccupied near East Butterfly Lake in Willow was inhabited. Troopers responded to the area via helicopter and found Church inside. He was taken into custody and charged with escape and numerous burglaries.
