The Susitna River Coalition is working in partnership with Alaska Safe Riders to host a Backcountry & Ice Travel Safety Presentation on Tuesday, December 9th at 6pm at the Upper Susitna Senior Center. This is an educational presentation on safe travel in backcountry and ice conditions for snowmachines. The session will include information on recognizing signs of weak or unsafe ice, recommended safety equipment, and response steps in the event of a breakthrough.
