Talkeetna Recycling and Valley Recycling are hosting electronic waste and miscellaneous plastic collection at the Upper Susitna Community and Senior Center on Saturday, July 19th, from 11am until 3pm.

Accepted electronic items include; radios, TVs, other small appliances, cables, wires, and fluorescent bulbs.

• Do not bring large appliances, smoke alarms, scrap metal, batteries, ballasts, medical equipment, or anything containing liquids.

Accepted plastics include; #1 plastics such as clamshells, to-go cups and more, plastic bottle caps, and other miscellaneous plastics which are not normally accepted at Talkeetna Recycling.

• Do not bring #1 plastic bottles, #2 plastic, or #5 plastic. These items can be recycled normally on Tuesdays and Saturdays at Talkeetna Recycling.
