Talkeetna Elementary School is excited to announce Discovery Days — three days of exploration, creativity, and hands-on learning for their kindergarten through 5th grade students.

They are looking for volunteers to help lead or support Discovery Day activities, happening:

• Monday, May 19th from 12:45 to 2:45 PM
• Tuesday, May 20th from 12:45 to 2:45 PM
• Wednesday, May 21st from 9:00 to 11:00 AM

Each activity will run about two hours and serve a small group of students. They’re looking for volunteers to lead activities like a Historical Society scavenger hunt, sewing, art printmaking, geocaching, tie-dyeing, and bead making. Or, if you have a hobby, skill, or passion you’d like to share, you may contact them. Whether you want to lead or assist, your involvement will help create a memorable experience for Talkeetna’s young learners.
