The Friends of the Talkeetna Library are hosting a birthday celebration for the Talkeetna Public Library today. All are invited to enjoy cake and refreshments from 2 to 4pm. For more information, you may call the library at 907-861-7645.

On St. Patrick’s Day in 1973, the Talkeetna Library became a reality. It started as a shelf at Nagley’s Store where people traded books and magazines, and has grown into the beautiful building at the top of the hill.
