Just after midnight on Wednesday, the Alaska State Troopers responded to a report of a disturbance on East Dowd Circle in Talkeetna. The report says that troopers were advised that a firearm was involved. Troopers found Mark Brown, 32, of Fairbanks in his truck near the home where the incident took place. They say that Brown was udder the influence of alcohol and had a pistol in his possession. Troopers also found that Brown had assaulted a woman during the night. The victim’s name has not been released. Brown was charged with DUI, Misconduct Involving a Weapon, and two counts of assault. Troopers say he was taken to the Mat-Su Pretrial Facility and is being held without bail.
