First Vaccination Clinic in Downtown Talkeetna

While Covid-19 case rates continue to drop in the Mat-Su Borough, vaccination rates remain the lowest in the state. As of Sunday, only 33% of residents 12 and older were fully vaccinated, according to a Covid-19 Data Summary from Alaska Department of Health and Social Services. That’s far below the statewide average of 48% of Alaskans 12 and older being fully vaccinated.

But Talkeetna residents and employees who haven’t had a chance to get the vaccine yet will have that opportunity on Friday June 25th , when the first vaccination clinic happens in downtown Talkeetna at Denali Education Center, formerly the home of Northern Susitna Institute.

Walk-ins are welcome and appointments can be made at covidvax.alaska.gov or at the toll-free Vaccine Helpline 833-482-9546.

And if you are unable to get to a vaccination clinic, a public health nurse can come to you. Call Mat-Su Public Health Center at 907-352-6600 to speak to a nurse and schedule a visit.
