Fish and Game increases bag limit for coho salmon

Sam Ivey, Area Biologist for the Northern Cook Inlet, says there have been positive reports from anglers and fishing guides on the numbers of cohos being caught.
In addition, the Deshka River reached the low end of its escapement goal on Sunday, and the upper end of the goal is likely to be exceeded, according to Fish and Game’s models. Tuesday’s emergency order concludes by saying the Susitna River’s coho run is well above average this year.
