According to the warning, Johnson Drive and other nearby roads on the south side of the river could become impassable. As of Wednesday morning, Willow Creek had crested just short of eleven feet.
The flood advisory applies to streams and rivers across the Susitna Valley, including the Talkeetna, Susitna, Yentna, and Kashwitna Rivers as well as Montana Creek. The advisory states that flooding in small streams is expected with minor flooding in low-lying areas. The advisory is in place until early Saturday morning.
