On Sunday, the Alaska State Troopers rescued four stranded boaters from Willow Creek.  At about 8:00 pm on Saturday, troopers received word that Jason Johnson, Jason Houck, Brian Kramer, and Gary Burgess had become stranded.  State and Wildlife Troopers traveled to the creek, but were unable to find a suitable spot to rescue the four men.  The group had gear with them to wait out the night, then called the troopers again on Sunday morning.  They said fatigue was setting in, and that one member of the group had a heart condition.  The State Troopers dispatched a rescue helicopter and extracted the boaters.  They were flown to the Willow Airport and treated by E-M-S and treated before being released.
