A Parks Highway crash has left a German man dead and his passenger hospitalized.
Shortly after 7:30 pm, Alaska State Troopers responded to a collision between a passenger vehicle and a semi-truck near Mile 95 of the Parks Highway. Jurgen Klos of Dortmund, Germany was declared deceased at the scene of the accident, and his passenger was airlifted to Providence Medical Center. The driver of the semi was not injured.
Investigation of the accident closed the Parks Highway for several hours. The highway re-opened after 1:00 am on Wednesday.
