Herman Thompson has been volunteering for the Upper Susitna Seniors, Incorporated since October of 1997. At the end of December, Herman will be retiring. He says he and his wife Marge will not be leaving the area and that they will continue to be involved with the Senior Center. Herman will be passing the torch to Larry Dearman as Chairman and the Vice Chairman will be Bill Was.
KTNA’s Katie Writer spoke with Herman about all that the Senior Center offers to the community, including wintertime activities.
The Center offers free ice grippers for walking canes. To find out more, you can visit the website www.uppersuseniors.org or phone 907-733-6200.
