21 members braved deep snows to attend KTNA, Talkeetna Community Radio Inc’s annual meeting on Sunday night at the Roadhouse. KTNA’s Board Chairman Carey Birdsall, Treasurer Fernando Salvador, and KTNA’s General Manager Will Peterson all gave updates on the station’s financial outlook heading into another year.
Awards were presented to volunteers for their contributions to the station. Todd Basilone and Renmarie Rauchenstien were presented Decade Awards for ten years of service, and Barbara Broadwater was presented an Above and Beyond award for her years of volunteering. Carey Birdsall was presented the Foundation award for his contributions to the institutional memory of KTNA, as well as for hosting his long-running show and his janitorial contributions to the station.
Board members Molly Wood and Fernando Salvador were re-elected by KTNA members during voting that took place over the last month.
