KTNA board announces new General Manager hire

The KTNA board of directors has chosen a new general manager for the station.

In a press release issued Wednesday, KTNA board president Mary Ostermick announced that Brian Robison has been hired as the new general manager.  Robison and his family live in Talkeetna, and he spent about ten years with Denali Brewing Company.  Robison holds a biology degree from the University of Northern Colorado, and has worked as a fishing guide as well as aiding in salmon and stream surveys in Alaska.

Speaking about the hire, Ostermick says “Brian shows a strong commitment to KTNA and his community and we look forward to his tenure as the new General Manager.” 

Robison is expected to take over the general manager role in mid-March.  Current General Manager Corinne Smith, who has been in the position for more than five years.  Smith intends to help Robison with the on-boarding process through the early part of this year.  She and her husband, Paul Button, plan to stay in Talkeetna.
